David Ostheimer, DTI Fellow since 2011 and Yale National Initiative Fellow in 2016  has been selected by the NEA Foundation to serve as a Global Learning Fellow. Dave is a first grade teacher at Kathleen H. Wilbur Elementary School in the Colonial School District and is currently enrolled in the DTI Seminar entitled What Makes Up the World Around Us? led by Dr. Joel Rosenthal, a University of Delaware Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry.

One of the core values of the Delaware Teachers Insititute is to promote teacher leadership while also keeping great teachers in the classroom.  Dave has brought that core value to life through his participation in DTI Seminars as a Fellow and Seminar Coordinator but also as he seeks out opportunities like this to further strengthen not only his own instruction but also that of his fellow teachers.  Congratulations Dave!
